They say the best things in life are free, and the best things come in threes. After an incredible turnout at Carousel on a freezing Saturday in July, we’re giving back.
With spring fast approaching, we couldn’t imagine a better way to welcome the warmer days than by hosting a completely FREE event, returning to our roots of intimacy at Kalyx Lounge & Bar - which, if we may add, has seen some exciting upgrades since our first party there.
Our headliners bring over 40 years of DJ experience, shaping underground dancefloors both here and abroad. On September 20th we welcome not one, but two legendary figures of the Australian minimal sound: Katharine, a Melbourne cornerstone who has been moving east-coast floors since the early 2000s with her lush vinyl journeys and Romanian-influenced microhouse storytelling; and the infamous Whitecat, founder of Mantra Collective and one of Sydney’s most respected diggers. Known worldwide for his stripped-back, hypnotic record craft, he has performed across Europe and Asia at some of the scene’s most forward-thinking parties, while also shaping the local sound through his curatorial touch behind Skydance Festival and his role as head digger at Fanatico Records.
Supporting them is some of the most promising young talent New South Wales has to offer: Czed & Ufday, founders of Dolce; Nicholas Zarb of Sense., going toe-to-toe with his good pal from down the coast, Harry Benn, proudly flying the FourOnTheFloor flag; and fellow Sense. founder C29STY, back in action alongside Whitecat. Together, they form our most exciting local lineup yet.
Due to the intimate nature of this venue, a complete sell-out would come as no surprise…
