LA POWER x CHULEO CLUB
A new ritual for the Sunshine Coast.
The Shelter s.c. launches LA POWER: a dancefloor dedicated to feminine energy, FLINTA* communities, and radical self-expression.
Expect electronic pressure, house and techno fused with Latin urban rhythms and the raw pulse of neo-perreo. Music made for sweaty dancefloors, liberation and collective movement.
A full session of music and art powered by a shared set of values: freedom and respect.
For our first edition, we unite with Melbourne’s Chuleo Club, led by Lina Zabaleta, who, through her new platform PRIMA, continues to push spaces where queer culture, Latinxs, migrants, femininity and dancefloor politics meet.
No judgement.
No barriers.
Just music, art, bodies and respect.

This new political party on the Coast celebrates linguistic, sexual, cultural, gender, age, ethnic and access diversity. Respect others, and you are welcome.
The Shelter s.c. and Chuleo Club acknowledge the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) and Jinibara peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the Sunshine Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and acknowledge their continuing connection to this land.
