Baby Zionov is a DJ and musician based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Bridging the worlds between pop, dance, and the avant-garde, she makes high speed bubblegum laser-sound boogie-shoes music inspired by old school rave culture, psychedelia, and the mid-2000s Internet.

DONK DOBBO IS AN ANONYMOUS AVANT-GRADE CREATIVE GENIUS RESIDING IN TĀMAKI MAKAURAU. HIS TALENTS REACH FAR AND WIDE - HE IS OFTEN QUOTED AS BEING “THE BEST RUBGY PLAYER IN THE WORLD” AS WELL AS A JEDI MASTER. MOST NOTABLY, HE IS NOTORIOUS FOR HIS DONK REMIXES OF NZ NOSTALGIC TRACKS SUCH AS “THE BUNNINGS WAREHOUSE THEME” AND “DON’T FORGET YOUR ROOTS” ?
HE HAS THE ABILITY TO SEAMLESSLY MELD THE SOUNDS OF AOTEAROA CLASSICS WITH OBNOXIOUS, HIGH-ENERGY TOM-FOOLERY. HIS RIDICULOUS PRODUCTIONS AND SAMPLE-MANGLING HAVOC WILL LEAVE YOU EITHER DANCING ALL NIGHT LONG OR RIPPING YOUR EARDRUMS OUT.

least.“ A habit of treading carefully feels like it has been hardwired into the artist from growing
up, jackaltheblackal believes. The musician from Tāmaki Makaurau spent his adolescence
wanting to “just become a writer for games and whatever else,” all the while becoming
Aotearoa’s quiet, unorthodox hip-hop figure. Jackal sports an enigmatic yet densely-packed
writing style (laden with conflict, macabre humour, and cultural references) and a gravelly vocal delivery filled with both haste & uncertainty. Underneath it all is his collage of jittery yet rich
sample-heavy production that sounds like a slow burn of hazy memories of aged cartoons &
cassette tapes.
