Born in Barranquilla and raised in Soledad, BCLIP cut his teeth as a teenage selector with an energy so red-lining they dubbed him “Always Clipping”—BCLIP. A restless architect behind cult instrumentals (incl. the timeless “Chulo sin H”), he moved to Bogotá where the nascent queer scene championed his raw, avant-ghetto vision. He calls it “Gra$a”: a hybrid of salsa, coastal folklore, champeta, reggaetón, rap, nu-metal, IDM and hard house—Caribbean aggression bent toward a dystopian future. BCLIP stands for the periphery: evolving without losing edge, rejecting kitsch, and pushing Latin club beyond its labels.
